Dear Ministry Partner,
Do you ever have one of those months? Well, this has been that time for us (APRC Board of Directors). Within a few weeks of each other, both our beloved Executive Director and our treasured Client Services Manager have answered the Lord's call on their lives - a call that will take them away from APRC, albeit in different directions. . .
We are thankful to be blessed with staff who are obedient to the Lord but cannot help wishing these two events had happened at different times. At the same time, we know that the Lord's plan for APRC and the growth that He's allowed us to experience will continue.
We are excited to take prayerful steps toward seeing what the days ahead will hold.
Daphne has accepted a job offer to become the Executive Director of Atlanta Morning Center. Teresa has accepted a position that more closely aligns with her area of study. Please know that the APRC Board has been very satisfied with their service and they have been a blessing to all those who have come in contact with APRC during each of their respective years of service.
During her time as a volunteer, staff person, and Executive Director, Daphne has made an indelible impact on the Center. Our programs and services have expanded and year-over-year, we are seeing more abortion-minded families choose life. Children are saved and families have received the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Daphne's passion for life is evident throughout the Center.
Teresa overflows with such heart and compassion for each lady and family that walks through the doors. At each event for which APRC is a guest or host, her smile is a welcome sight and Teresa is a wonderful example of a servant’s heart.
Although Daphne will be out of the office during parts of June and July, she has not left the Center just yet. She will be on a mission trip sharing her passion for the pro-life ministry. She will visit at least 12 pregnancy centers in Romania and begin a feasibility study to start a new one. She will also visit at least two AFLA (Association for Life of Africa) pregnancy centers in Nigeria, and participate with an international fact-finding team to identify areas of opportunity and develop strategies to serve internally displaced people (IDP), particularly the Chibok Girls and other women that were brutalized, terrorized, and/or kidnapped by Boko Haram.
Teresa’s last day will be Tuesday, June 27. We are excited to see her following this opportunity God has placed in her life, although she will be missed greatly. Teresa goes with our prayers for her continued success in her new role.
Daphne and Teresa have met with you one-on-one or visited your churches and organizations. They have been the face of APRC; they have also been God’s hands and feet. They are passionate to carry out His mission. As you know, His mission is larger than any one of us. Daphne and Teresa are following His will and guidance. We pray for their success as they pursue these opportunities that God has placed in their lives.
You are a blessing to the ministry of APRC. We value the trust you have placed in us as stewards of your financial donations and we continue to prayerfully seek God's guidance as your monies are used to make the greatest impact possible. Because of your donations, we are encouraged to press forward in God's calling.
We ask you to join us in prayer for abundant success for Daphne and Teresa as they embark on the new opportunities God has placed in their paths. Pray for Daphne’s mission trip as she touches lives in Romania and Nigeria. Pray especially for the Chibok girls as they face unimaginable challenges as they return to their families and pray for the girls who are still trapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group.
There are no words to express our deepest gratitude for each and every staff person, donor, and volunteer. You are a treasure. Please grant us your patience and pray for His guidance through this transition.
